Harriet the Tortoise, 1830-2006

Harriet the Tortoise, hatched on the Galapagos Islands in 1830, died in a Australian zoo at the age of 176.



The turtle lives 'twixt plated decks
Which practically conceal its sex.
I think it clever of the turtle
In such a fix to be so fertile.
