A website that randomly generates music on demand using music theory as parameters. Each piece is a new and (barring the tiny statistical odds of the exact same piece being randomly generated again) unique. The most successful catagories are classical, piano and perhaps jazz.

The program, called WolframTones, allows you to modify individual compositions, changing instrumentation, adding rhythm, even swapping one musical scale for another. The results can be quite startling.

And the most unfathomable part? The raison d'etre of all this coolness seems to be so that you can generate your own ringtone.
