Do you feel that, no matter what America does at this point, there will be terrible loss of life in Iraq, either due to us or due to civil war, but either way we should not be morally responsible for any more death? Or is that you feel if we left tomorrow Iraq would have the chance to put its own house in order? Or do you see a third outcome arising from our immediate withdrawl?

I don't know the answer to his question, but I think this article might contain at least parts of what he's looking for.
