Help me out here...

Over the weekend, the conversation somehow turned to Christmas trees and the timeliness of their removal (or lack thereof). I remember reading about an economist who died after his Christmas tree caught on fire, perhaps last year. But for the life of me could not remember his name. Google searches turns up nothing, and I am almost tempted to think I'm hallucinating this whole story except I remember quite specific details such as the fact that this unfortunate economist is an expert on tax issues.

Or am I just going insane?
